What’s not to love about an extremely good looking, insanely talented singer-songwriter wearing MARVEL print jeans? Nothing!
Aspy Jones features two other equally talented siblings in the line up plus what can be guessed as two besties who write killer songs, obviously all musically click and have the chops to do this for the rest of their lives, hopefully making mega bucks along the way.
Sitting and knowing how groovin’ many of the songs were, I whispered to my comrade (in musical crime) about how much I wanted to dance awkwardly, so we settled for chair dancing and grins across the aisles. Nothing is better than enjoying music with fellow colleagues including the Festival Director Maddie Little (Undercover Artist Festival) and Actress Andi Snelling (Happy Go Wrong). The power of music is about bringing people together and to wax lyrical about broken hearts, friends, family and our primordial existence. The room was buzzing. What a way to close the Festival!
We lapped up every word, every aspy related joke and the comedic sibling rivalries, every bad luck story and failed attempt at dating and all the stories that inspired one killer song after the other. Why aren’t they famous already?
There was just nothing bad you could say about their performance except that we all could have listened to another hour, in a pub setting, so we could all dance and laugh. No-one was prepared to out themselves in some dark corner to not take away from the excellent gig we were all enjoying. A great performance by all five members – drums, keys, back up vox, saxophone, tambourine and guitar. Go see them for a fantastic night out. Highly recommended and you won’t be disappointed!
